Wrong bomb alarm releases forced landing
Stockholm (Sweden) - a Boeing 777 landed on Saturday because of a bomb threat on Stockholm airfield the Arlanda. The machine with 273 passengers was on the way from Canada to Pakistan - and in Sweden was immediately evacuated.Terror panic outStill on the Rollfeld the Swedish police arrested a Canadian aircraft passenger of origin of Pakistan. The man was left later again free.
The Swedish public prosecutor's office explained, the suspicious factors against the man were not solidly enough, in order to leave it in detention. It may leave Sweden.
According to police after the start a woman had called at the Canadian police and had reported, a man on board the machine had explosive thereby.
The Canadian police has thereupon the pilot informs. Since the airplane was at this time in the Swedish air space, it was rerouted to Stockholm.
The authorities let all 273 travelers over the reason for the not planned intermediate stop in the unclear one, before special-purpose forces went on board.
In the airplane however no explosive was found. The Canadian authorities introduced investigations, in order to clarify whether it possibly concerned with the call of the woman a bad joke.
